Doha resident wins $1m Qatar Duty Free prize

The draw was conducted inside the Qatar Duty retail area at Doha International Airport, presided over by senior management of the company.
Babu, a 50-year-old father of two and resident in the Qatari capital for 15 years, said after hearing of the win: “Buying a ticket to win US$1 million has become a habit for me for the last four years whenever I go for annual vacation to my home town in India.

An aircraft technician with the Qatar Emiri Air Force, Babu bought his lucky ticket in April before boarding his flight from Doha International Airport to Thiruvananthapuram in southern India.
