Denel shows support for new airport city

Denel Aerostructures has spoken out in support of an Aerotropolis in Ekurhuleni and its ability to improve the economy of the Gauteng City Region.

Deputy chief executive of Denel Aerostructures, Victor Xaba, says the airport city will bring benefits to the industry and high-tech manufacturing industry in the province.
 
Xaba will be one of the speakers at a conference on the Aerotropolis Masterplan.
 
The Denel campus in Kempton Park will be an anchor for the future growth of the Aerotropolis.
 
“Denel is excited about the benefits that an Aerotropolis will bring to job creation, skills development and the future of high-tech engineering in Gauteng,” said Xaba.
 
Denel Aerostructures is a manufacturing enterprise which designs and manufactures for the Airbus A400M, and shares a campus with Denel Aviation which is South Africa’s leading provider of maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) soloutions to the South African Air Force.
