ADATC phase one nears completion

In his latest Board report, Al Hammadi said the centre, in Khalifa City, which ADA plans to evolve into an international hub for helicopter training, already has one simulator insitu through an Etihad facility and has received a second ready for installation. In addition, ADATC has signed an agreement with CAE, Inc., for two additional aircraft simulators expected at the end of 2017. Al Hammadi said the company intends to lease bays to third parties and introduce more simulations in Phase I while the second phase with cater for nine simulators.
Al Hammadi has previously stated that ADATC sees opportunity in leasing some of the bays to joint ventures with OEMs. The new centre is designed to offer multi-product training for ADA’s own pilots and Emirati Armed Forces recruits as well as third party staff.
