The milestone underscores the UAE’s essential role as a global aviation hub with a strategic location, advanced infrastructure and efficient operational systems.

“Achieving the milestone of one million air traffic movements in a single year is not a mere numerical achievement but a reflection of the UAE’s steadfast commitment to developing the aviation sector as a cornerstone of its national economy and solidifying its position as a global air transport destination,” said Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and chairman of GCAA.

In line with the “We the UAE 2031” vision and “The Year of Sustainability”, the center also adopted sustainable practices that support the country’s objectives and contribute to reducing the aviation sector’s environmental footprint. Additionally, it enhanced airspace capacity to meet increasing demands while ensuring the highest safety and reliability standards, further strengthening global airlines’ confidence in the UAE’s services.
