UAE-Iraq air services deal signed

According to the Arab Air Carriers Organisation (AACO) the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority has signed an air services MoU with the Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority.

 The MoU allows for operating 15 weekly scheduled passenger flights and 4 weekly cargo flights from Abu Dhabi to Iraq. It also allows for operating 21 weekly passenger flights and 4 weekly cargo flights between Dubai and Iraq; and 8 passenger and 4 cargo flights between Sharjah and Iraq; and 3 passenger flights between Ras Al-Khaimah and Iraq.

The MoU comes into effect immediately. According to AACO, both parties agreed that the dedicated airlines in both countries have the right to operate charter and unscheduled flights for passengers and cargo subject to the approval of the relevant civil aviation authorities.
