Turkish Airlines cancels flights due to coronavirus outbreak

Due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, Turkish Airlines has taken the decision to temporarily cancel flights to various cities in China, as well as Italy, South Korea and Iraq, which have seen outbreaks of the virus.

Flights to China’s Xi’an, Guangzhou and Shanghai cities are cancelled until 29 March 2020.

“Our flights to Beijing are cancelled until 9 March 2020 and further actions will be determined after talks with related authorities,” the airline said in a statement.

Flights to Italy, South Korea and Iraq, are cancelled until 10 March 2020.

“As the airline that always puts the travel security at the forefront, Turkish Airlines will continue to monitor the latest developments on the situation with the national and international health authorities and take appropriate precautions,” said the airline.
