In attempt to recover from its financial crisis, Kenya Airways will be operating more hours each day to increase network connectivity.

CEO Mbuvi Ngunze said: “The changes take into account the reopening of the Nairobi’s JKIA runway which was undergoing an upgrade by the Kenya Airports Authority that saw it closed for six hours daily, from 12 midnight to 6 a.m. for a year. More flights during the day make for more options to connect between destinations.”

Night flights have been added to the Kinshasa and Lagos routes, the Freetown and Monrovia routes have been reopened, and extra flights have been added to the Addis Ababa route.

In addition to this, six extra weekend flights will be added between Amsterdam and Nairobi during August.
