India’s domestic airlines transported 123 million passengers in 2022
India’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has said the country’s domestic airlines transported 123 million passengers last year, as against 83 million in 2021.

These figures registered an annual growth of 47 per cent, however, the number has yet to cross pre-Covid volumes.
The DCGA also said that 81 per cent of flight cancellations in December 2022 was caused by fog disruption.
