US agrees missile sales to Mid-East

The United States has agreed a series of sales of air-launched missiles to Middle Eastern air forces according to official releases from the Pentagon.

Jordan is to receive 85 AIM-120-C7 Amraam missiles for $131 which it is believed will be available for the former Dutch F-16s now becoming operational with the RJAF.

Bahrain is to purchase 25 of Raytheon's C-7 Amraams.

The Pentagon confirmed the order, revealed earlier on Arabian Aerospace online, for 362 Hellfire air-to-ground missiles for the UAE. This $526 million deal is said to include 15 AAR-57 common missile warning systems, 21 APR39A(V)4 radar warning systems and the BAE Systems' ASN-128D Doppler navigation radar for helicopters.
