Oman Air leads world in on-time performance
Gulf carriers featured high in the rankings for top on-time performers among the world’s airlines in tables published by Cirium today.
In the top 10 listing for ‘Global Airlines’ Qatar Airways finished third with 85.11% . Saudia was 9th with 81.29% of on-time arrivals. Colombia’s Avianca was top with 86.73%.
But Oman Air appeared to be the World’s best performing airline with a 92.3% on time performance.
Qatar’s Hamad International airport was 9th in the category for Global Airports and 10th in the Large Airports category. Minneapolis St Paul in the USA was the top global hub followed by Rajiv Gandhi in Hyderabad.

Among the region’s other success stories was South African airline Safair which was rated top of the Low Cost Carriers with a 92.36% performance. Cape Town International Airport finished fifth in the world’s Small Airports category.
Safair was knocked into second place for the whole Middle East and Africa performers with Oman Air topping the regional list with a 92.53%

9 Kuwait Airways (KU) 73.18%
10 Kenya Airways (KQ) 71.86%.
